Trained Dogs Have More Fun!

George Andrews

George started training dogs in 2020, when he adopted his first dog (Pierre). After training Pierre on some basic skills and working through some minor behavior problems, George found a lasting interest in dog behavior and dog training. George started with Leash Free Living in 2023 and enjoys working with clients and their dogs. With the support of LFL’s behaviorists and instructors, George is now working directly with clients as an Apprentice Instructor. George appreciates every opportunity to help clients build a better relationship with their dogs.

George continues training his own dogs and is currently working with Pierre on his off-leash obedience. He is looking forward to trialing Pierre for a Companion Dog title. You can sometimes find George and Pierre training on the busy streets of Baltimore City, like Hampden’s “The Avenue.” In 2022, George adopted his second dog, Liesl. Liesl is incredibly scared of strangers and is willing to bite. George continues to work Liesl through her fears and is hoping to earn her a Canine Good Citizen title.

Fun fact: Before deciding on a career in dog training, George studied Political Science at Johns Hopkins University. He finished his PhD in 2025.
