The Dog Days of Summer are here!
We have some great events scheduled this August to enjoy with your dog, including Gym Class at Millersville in the AC, a dog-friendly outdoor concert with music & wine, and a morning group hike! Keep reading for all the details.
August 8th Saturday Event | Beat the Heat Gym Class at Millersville
From 3pm – 4pm
Come beat the heat at our Millersville facility to work on various basic obedience practice! We will start and end with a group warm up and group stays. We will have several stations set up to practice different skills so you can work individually (with help if needed) on different basic obedience skills with exercises from basic to advanced. This event is ideal for training clients working at the 100L or higher. You can sign up in our client portal.
August 15th Saturday Event | Free Concert, Wine & Training in the Park
From 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Join us for Free training in the park outside of Carroll Baldwin Hall in Savage for a free outdoor instrumental concert by Columbia Bands. We will start practicing before the concert starts at 6:00pm at the other end of the park area on whatever skills our dogs need to practice the most. Bring lawn chairs if you want to sit & enjoy the concert after we practice!
If you want the wine part of the adventure, head over to Boyd Cru Wines is over in Savage Mill before 6pm (by the parking area). They have nice tables outside where you can sit with your dog & order via the QR code & they will bring it out to you! Limit 10 dogs, 1 dog per handler. Please sign up in our client portal.
August 30th Sunday Event | Morning Hike & Training at Friendship Park
From 8:00am – 9:00am
Come join us at Friendship Park before the heat of the day hits to practice in the park while watching planes take off & land at BWI (a good noise distraction). There are several trails in this area, so if conditions allow, we can do a mini hike or start down the BWI Trail, too! Limit 10 dogs, 1 dog per handler. Please sign up in our client portal.
