Beginner Group Class

100 Level Class

It all starts here — Learn all of the Foundation Exercises in a small group of your peers! This 6 week class covers the commands Heel, Sit, Stand, Down, Come, Stay, Place, and teaches you how to use these skills to redirect and replace bad behaviors. Dogs do not come to class on the first week. This class is for dogs older than 5.5 months of age, and is held at our Millersville location. This class is also the recommended foundation for all of our 400L classes, and required before joining the 200L Canine Good Citizen class.

Canine Good Citizen Class

200 Level Class

This six week class is designed to use the basic obedience skills established in 100L Beginner Group Class to master real-life manners, like sitting politely for petting, walking on a loose leash through a crowd, etc. This is great class for any dog looking to improve their social skills and obedience in public places. AKC Canine Good Citizen testing is included on the last week of class!

Companion Dog Class

300 Level Class

During this six week course, we will use the obedience skills established in the 100 and 200 level training to turn your dog into the ultimate companion. Dogs will learn off-leash obedience, long distance obedience, new ways to move smoothly through crowded environments and refine impulse control.

Intro to E-Collar

Introduce your dog to the electronic collar in this 4 week class! Teach them to come when called, go to place, heel and stop unnecessary behaviors. Dogs should be graduates of our basic obedience program, or get permission to enroll in this class. E-collars are not included in this course — please have a Mini Educator by E-Collar Technologies purchased prior to the start of class.

Puppy Socialization Class

Millersville Facility

Puppy Socialization Class is held every Saturday from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm. Review basic obedience skills, and use training tools to help socialize your puppy to new obstacles, distractions, dogs and people. This class is for puppies under the age of 6 months only. **Most Puppy Group Class sessions are about 1 hour long. If we get a large number of puppies sign up, we will split the class by size/weight into two separate 45 minute sessions**

Cooperative Care

Life Skills Class

This class is intended for dogs that struggle with handling for grooming, veterinary or at-home care. We will cover muzzle training, desensitization to strangers, desensitization to grooming equipment and polite hand-offs.

Intro to Sports

Sport Dog Program Prerequisite

Sample of our Sport Dog Program courses in this introductory class. Your dog will be introduced to Nosework, Rally, formal Obedience and advanced tricks over the course of this class. Cost of the class includes a retrieving dumbbell and clicker.
