Group training field trips to local parks for work in new locations with novel distractions. Power Training Sessions are offered at no cost and are open to dogs at all training levels. Join our e-mail list for information on upcoming Power Training Sessions. Upcoming dates are also posted on the Leash Free Living Facebook page. Power Training Sessions are FREE!
Free group session on the trail. Upcoming hikes will be announced on our e-mail list and Facebook page. I encourage training good behavior on the trail and we will give some light coaching to help with that goal on the hike. Come prepared with shoes appropriate for hiking, 6ft leash, training collar, treats (if your dog will eat them), poop bags, bug repellent, and possibly towels in case your dogs get wet/muddy during the outing.
Bring your dog to enjoy a movie with their training buddies. Another free event for Leash Free Living students. Perfect opportunity to practice the long down with distractions. Movie nights will be announced through out e-mail list, and on our Facebook page. The movies will be either about dogs, or have a dog character. Movie nights are held indoor in Annapolis (for now). We can fit a limited number of dogs in the movie room, so please RSVP. We do have metal folding chairs available, but if you have a more comfortable alternative, you are welcome to bring it.
Dog Park Behavior Series – $60
Four week add on series to graduates of our Beginner Group Class, Puppy Basics Class or equivalent (geared towards adult dogs and older puppies). Learn how to make a controlled entrance into the dog park, teach your dog to come when called even when they are engaged with play behaviors, learn to read dog body language and when you need to intervene, practice doing all of those things in a controlled environment with known dogs and owners.
Once dogs have taken this class, they can re-take to continue practicing for a discounted price of $20/month.
First session will be held on the following dates –
Saturday, May 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th from 9:00 – 10:00 am
It’s time to fix that front door behavior! This is a 4 week add on series for graduates of the Beginner Group Class, or equivalent. Here is how it works.
Each week everyone will meet at one of the students houses (class is limited to 4 students). We will practice front door behavior with the “home dog” with each person knocking on the door. After the dog is behaving with every guest, we will take all the dogs on a walk around the neighborhood together.
With this series, one week you will have 5 people available to practice front door behavior and every week you will take a walk around a new neighborhood with new distractions.
Your address will be shared with the other students in the class. Other students don’t need to enter your home to work on front door behavior depending on what you are comfortable with.
The next session will be held on the following date:
Front Door Series – Saturdays, June 10, 17, 24 and July 1 at 1:00 pm
