ALL dogs are eligible to participate in this event. The dog does not need to be a purebred dog, and the dog does not need to be registered with the American Kennel Club. Upon successful completion of the test, each team will be awarded a certification from the AKC. The CGC can also be added as a title to the end of your [registered] dog’s name.
Review the test items and requirements prior to the event and come prepared. Remember to bring a brush or comb for Test 3 and make sure your dog is wearing appropriate equipment (flat buckle collar, slip/choke collar or harness).
Not offered this time around. Stay tuned for next testing.
This test will be run in conjunction with the CGC test.
The Community Canine Test is the advanced version of the CGC test. Dogs that pass this test have the new title of “CGCA” recorded on the end of their registered name.
